I don’t have any finished art to show today, but I did do quite a bit of work on my mermaid painting. So much, in fact, that I’m hoping with a bit of luck to get it finished tomorrow. So I don’t want to post a WIP photo here today. I’ll leave the big reveal to Sunday Sketches tomorrow, the challenge where I originally started this project.
The weather was fabulous today, especially since it was the second day of winter here in South Oz. I sat out on the back verandah and painted merrily without freezing to death.
All that is left to be painted is a coat or two on the water, maybe a sprinkle of glitter, some gems and a couple of final finishing coats to the whole piece with maybe a varnish on top. Then some drying time and it can be put up on the wall in my daughter’s bedroom.
Here is some vague proof that I spent several hours on my creativity today – a photo of my palette. Better piccies tomorrow!
Best wishes,
Liz

I actually love the photo of your palette. The colours are so vibrant and make my fingers itch to get my paints out again.
