You are loved – work-in-progress for Paint Party Friday

Paint Party Friday

Ah, it has been so long since I had something to share with on Paint Party Friday. But this week, I’ve rediscovered my arty mojo and have dived back in. So I have a work-in-progress to share.

You are loved - work-in-progress

‘You are loved’ is a painting I have had in the works for some time. Which translated means, I slapped on a background, built a concept and then stashed it on a shelf for six months before picking it up again this week ๐Ÿ˜€

Perhaps my first true mixed media piece – fluid acrylics, regular gel medium, glazing medium, beads, baubles, glitter, sparkly gem things, clear granule gel medium and I just this morning added some heavy gel medium on the heart shape to give it a third dimension.

It still has a way to go, but I’m having fun doing it and feeling my way into thecomposition as I go.

Here are a couple of close ups.

Okay, perhaps that is too close up, but hey, artsy shot ๐Ÿ˜€

Don’t forget to go and have a squizz at all the other fantasmo arty creations for this week over at Paint Party Friday.

(it is so good to be back in the zone!)
