For this week, for Shadow Shot Sunday, since it has been pouring with rain for the last few days, I’m offering an interesting, kinda abstract, shot I took a couple of weeks ago.
I liked the bright pattern of spots in this. It is a simple composition, but something about it attracts me.
Here you can see more clearly exactly where those dots of light are coming from. This is some shadecloth we have hanging down the side of our house protecting a western wall from the direct afternoon sun. The light is shining on pavers.
Now you’ve seen my dabblings, have a gander at some of the other wonderful offerings over at Shadow Shot Sunday.

That’s interesting, I wouldn’t have guessed it was shadecloth. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that everything has a shadow if only we can see it (and there’s sun or a source of light of course). I like the perspective. Well spotted!
Specks ofl light??!! Wow! I didn’t see them as light until the second shot. It looked like a close-up of the texture and color of a cement block or stone wall. Great shot! Good job.
Peace.
